A speech pathologist, or speech therapist, is a therapist who helps patients of all ages improve their communication skills. They also assist people who have difficulties swallowing. The patients will have to relearn how to speak properly. You will find these speech pathologists working in hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, and nursing homes. They can also work in private settings such as a patient's home.
